Vessels interested in participating must attend the Captains' meeting held at 7pm the Saturday before the race. Race time is at 1pm Sunday. Riding through paradise *

When vacationing in unfamiliar territory, its always a good idea to experience it the same way the locals do. Key West locals take it all in Island Style! On a 2 x 4 mile island like ours, all you need is a bike, some water, and a tube of sunscreen. So if your visiting the Southernmost Point of America, be sure to navigate the island the right way... with a bike tour!

Casablanca recommends Lloyds Tropical Bike Tour. Covering approximately 4-5 miles in 2 hours, this fantastic tour cost only $39! Tour guide Lloyd, a Key West resident since 1972, takes you on an amazing adventure through the side streets of Old-Town like only a local could. Along the way you will see beautiful Key West architecture, lush gardens of tropical plants and flowers, native animal life, as well as the islands eclectic locals. You will also be able to taste some native fruits, like coconut, starfruit, and mango! And don't forget the stop off in Nancy Forrester's Secret Garden! What a way to see Paradise!!

Where to Eat?

We are starting a new tradition on our blog to recommend where to eat and when! This week we are featuring Camilles Restaurant for their amazing breakfast. Camilles is located at 1202 Simonton Street Key West Fl. This Key West gem is loved by locals and tourists alike! Owned and operated by a local family you can never go wrong with Denise mingling with guests while Michael is cooking up his classic in the kitchen. If your craving home style cooked eggs benedict or made from scratch pancakes this is the place you have to go.

Sweet Treats

There are two things in Key West that you can find on every corner, a bar and an ice cream parlor. The trick is to know where the locals stop for the best in ice cream. Flamingo Crossing is located at 1107 Duval Street Key West FL and is where every true Islander goes for satisfying their sweet tooth. With their creamy homemade ice cream to their lighter side frozen yogurt, every dessert lover will find something they will love there. Our suggestion for flavors is mint chocolate chip or cuban coffee, yummm!

Best of Key West- The Fury

Best of Key West.. The Fury Cat

Casablanca likes to recommend some great things to do in Key West for both locals and tourists alike. This week we are featuring "The Fury Cat" which is a water sports attraction that will satisfy any ocean lover! The fury has adventures such as the glass bottom boat, sunset cruise, snorkeling etc.. However our favorite attraction they offer is the "ultimate adventure. Having been on this myself I would highly recommend this trip to anyone who comes to Key West.

The ultimate adventure includes:
Jet skiing
Snorkeling
Parasailing
and Kayaking

This is the best of the best! Here is a video clip off the Fury Cats website about this amazing trip.

Here at the Key West Casablanca hotel we will arrange your trip on the fury for you!
